...fall sunrises...

...i love the fall. probably more than any season, fall has a lot of character. and not too many bugs! i love the changing leaves, the crisp air and the way everything is hustling around to get ready for winter. yeah, i used to think that summer was the season for me, but it's definitely fall. i don't get up early enough to see the sunrise most days in the summer. but...i get to see some spectacular images in the fall...have i said how much i love the fall?

...almost done...

...with the basement. I hope we will be moved in completely over MEA weekend. HAPPY DANCE!!

These are the nasty old stairs. The guy who carpeted them asked if anything had ever been done to them... "you mean besides walking on them??" I can't wait to cruise up and down these babies now (of course I really won't cruise.)
This is our library. My husband built these shelves and the table in the center.
The space is for the pellet stove we have to drive over to Malta to pick up. Why? Because we live in NE Montana, Bob, and no...there isn't an oil boom there.

Remember the laundry room? I am pleased to say, I will be spending every Sunday evening in here ironing my work clothes for the week, not, but it sounds and looks good, eh?

And, most importantly, here is the game room, completely ready to start gaming at any moment (notice the controller at the ready). This room was finished second. My craft room was first!

...sunset in September...

...can't get much more beautiful than this! I used to take many, many pictures of sunsets and even sunrises. Living in Montana a.k.a. "Big Sky" state definitely has it's benefits. I'll never leave!

...on moving into the farmhouse...

...since I have been working furiously on the kitchen cupboards in order to make them livable (acceptable), maybe a few pictures of our progress are in order. Steve and I totally messed up, we did not get a before picture of the unfinished DUNGEON that we started with. Everyday, one or the other of us comments about how dumb we were, we should have done a before and after!!! I always tried real hard to avoid going down there in the past.
...before,the stairs leading to the scary place!

...I have to wash clothes in there...eeek!

...now, the middle of the project...
Ahhh, see how different the stairs look!
...it's not dark anymore!!
...more to come...

...so here he comes...
...rambling, closer...
...swaying, closer...
...closer, aack!!!...
...isn't he beautiful?
...gotta go, he needs some attention...

Shut Up!!
...i love to say it. I can't help it, right now it is my favorite exclamation. Right after a few healthy F- bombs, of course...

...meanwhile back at the ranch...

...i think i learned to ride in these boots...

...random stuff...

...i've been trying for about two weeks to post and for some reason I keep getting booted off. I'm trying again today, besides the fact that I have a ton of pictures that I want to showcase.
... the first picture is this moose - in my yard.

My husband took this picture last year in June. He also video taped 'em ( there were actually a pair). Pretty exciting stuff!!(My guy is quite the man, I love him! He said he did it so I could see them in action! There really wasn't any...action, that is). Then some dumb A$$ young kid shot them ... so today, I remember them. The kid got his picture in the paper when he really should have been getting a hefty fine from Fish & Game. Ahhh...gotta love the rez...

...here are some cards that I made and I think these will be the card for my Convention Swaps. I only have to make 27 of them...I can handle that...

Here is another one that I made after stopping into the SUDSOL Chat & Challenge, I sometimes forget what fun I have making cards to put on SUDS!!!

This last card is for the SUDSOL Design Challenge. We are to make a masculine card and use the technique "masking". I like it, so now I am off to ponder more mysteries of my little world...

...summer on the prairie...

...is fantastic and beautiful. Was out on Jack Sprat and took some pictures of the cactus flowering. No more words are neccessary...

...blah,blah, blah...

...poor Cache...

...it has been raining here for the last week. Don't get me wrong, (and mostly because I am a farmers wife), rain is good. Blessed even. I am, however, beginning to think I live in a rainforest or Portland, where I am told by my sister-in-law, it is gray and gloomy 90% of the time. I live on the prairie in Montana for a reason. I like space... and warmth. Lots of space... and WARMTH!

...life is going on all around us...

...since it'sbeen a while, I have much to report. Don't know if I feel up to it, but here goes...

...Steve's father passed away on my brother's birthday. Jack was a true gentleman and I will miss him. I know that he is with his wife in heaven and they are finally free from the bounds of human frailty. Sounds deep and even provocative, but something I believe in wholeheartedly...

...school is finally out, and since I had my yearly evaluation where I was told I didn't handle change well, I am sooo...happy to be moving on to the next year. I am good at my job, but, in effect when I look at what they (being the administration) mean, "correct" is all I can say. I have mourned my job change for the last three years. Time to move on...

...we are slowly getting things ready for the final move over to the homestead. More of that story later...

...here I am, doing a little goofing off, till next time...

...sick and tired...

...of being sick and tired. Remember that one from my past life where it was the mantra of the day. Today it is more literal than spiritual and I am actually really tired of being sick. Since the middle of February. So now I am off to battle this new demon...I think I'll start by heading over to my craft haven...yes, haven...

haven – noun
1. a harbor or port.
2. any place of shelter and safety; refuge; asylum. –verb (used with object)
3. to shelter, as in a haven.

...there is just something so serene about walking with my dog and best friend. It's even cooler when they are together...

Monday, March 17, 2008

...and when i got to work, there were several senior boys just aching to pinch someone with no green on. It's true, today I am dressed in navy blue fron head to ankle...but these bad boys saved my life today. You should have seen the look on their faces when I marched over to them in my lime green cowboy boots...

...see I told you it wasn't an obsession yet...

...as I haven't posted for awhile, there has been a lot happening. Mother is here, and I've spent a bunch of time and money taking care of her.

We are fixing up Steve's parents house. Got the craft room all moved over. Will have to post a picture, later. It's twice the size of my old craft room, and not as messy!!! (wink, wink)!

Well off I go...
